Regardless of what game you're playing, the Halloween season always promises plenty of exciting updates. In Call of Duty: Warzone, The Haunting event is in full swing. This year, players can get stuck into a number of limited-timed modes (LTMs) such as Zombie Royale and Vondead. In addition, some new spooky cosmetics are available to purchase themed around characters such as Ash Williams, Skeletor, Alucard, and more.
Players may have also noticed a number of Diablo 4 cosmetics appear across Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, such as Lilith and Father Inarius Operator skins. But these two aren't the only Diablo characters you'll spot. The Butcher can be found across Al Mazrah and Vondead, which players will need to work hard in order to take him down. His unique Meat Hook is also up for grabs to be used in Diablo 4, here's how you can unlock it.
How To Defeat The Butcher In Warzone
Needless to say The Butcher won't be an easy target to take down, and you'll likely need the help of your squad mates to ensure you survive the encounter. Bring your best loadouts to take this one down.
To defeat The Butcher, players will need to take part in the Operation Nightmare challenge during The Haunting Event in Season 06 Reloaded in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. This means dropping into Al Mazrah (Night) or Vondead at any time during The Haunting event. You'll then need to summon a portal to an "otherworldly realm" where you'll need to locate and slay The Butcher.
Check your Tac-Map for The Butcher’s location in both Al Mazrah and Vondead (Night versions).
How To Get The Meat Hook In Warzone — Diablo 4 Reward
The Butcher's Meat Hook is earned by defeating The Butcher during The Haunting event. Upon defeating him, the reward will be granted to your Battle.net account, so make sure you've got the correct account linked. The reward may take up to four days to appear.
If you killed The Butcher before linking your Activision and Battle.net accounts then your reward will still make its way to your Diablo 4 wardrobe, but it may still take up to four days to appear. You'll need a Scythe equipped in order to view the transmog.
Remember, this is a reward to be used within Diablo 4, not Warzone. The Butcher’s Meat Hook can only be earned once per each linked Activision and Battle.net account. There's more rewards to earn and use in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, however. Each monster you take down unlocks a unique Calling Card. Killing five out of six monsters in Operation Nightmare unlocks the Bloody Mess Mastery Weapon Blueprint.
