With the start of every new season in Warzone 2, a number of changes and alterations are made to keep things feeling fresh. These range from new weapons, Operators, map adjustments, and more. But a more frequently updated aspect is the weekly Playlist.
Each week of the season, players can choose to jump into a selection of modes with varying squad sizes. The Playlists cover Battle Royale, Resurgence, Plunder and now, Ranked Play. Now that Season 4 of Warzone 2 is underway, players are looking forward to the upcoming modes and matches. But eagle-eyed players will have already noticed two major squad sizes missing from the current rotation: Duos and Trios in Battle Royale.
Given that Battle Royale is such a key mode in Warzone 2, and Duos in particular being a popular squad size, it’s strange to see Activision remove the option so soon into the new season. So, exactly when are Duos and Trios coming back to Battle Royale?
When Are Duos & Trios Coming Back To Warzone 2 Battle Royale?
So far, Activision has revealed the first two weeks of Playlists coming to Warzone 2 in Season 4: Week of June 14 and Week of June 21. The issue is that both Duos and Trios are missing from the Playlists for Battle Royale across both weeks.
While the current information doesn’t explicitly state when either squad size will be back in Warzone 2 Battle Royale, we can assume that they’ll rejoin the Playlist during the week of June 28 at the earliest.
In a recent Call of Duty blog post, Activision stated: “As a reminder, we will continue to rotate modes in and out of the Playlist on a weekly basis. And for those wondering, Ashika Island will return!”
