Destiny 2 Season of Plunder brought the much anticipated Arc 3.0 update to the game. Here are the top 5 Arc weapons that you should be using this season.
Destiny 2 Season of Plunder - Top 5 Arc Exotic Weapons To Use

Destiny 2 Season of Plunder brought the much-needed Arc 3.0 update to the game. Like Void 3.0 and Solar 3.0, Arc 3.0 adds new Arc subclass abilities, aspects, and fragments for you to use.

Since Season of Plunder is an Arc-centric Destiny 2 season, you would want to use Arc Energy weapons to synergize your build and deal the most damage. As such, we have curated a list of the Top 5 Arc Exotic weapons that you should use in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder.

Top 5 Arc Exotic Weapons to use in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder

The Arc subclass in Destiny 2 has always been about being nimble, and the new Arc 3.0 buffs evolve upon that mantra. With the 5 Arc Exotic weapons listed below, you could have the most efficient Arc build in Season of Plunder.

 Trinity Ghoul

The Lightning Rod perk makes Trinity Ghoul one of the best arc exotics in Destiny 2. (Picture: Bungie)
  • Bowstring - High Tension String (Tightly strung bow. Greatly increases accuracy. Slightly slower draw time. Slightly decreases stability).
  • Arrow - Compact Arrow Shaft (Thinner arrows to increase nocking speed and weapon handling. Increases handling speed. Increases reload speed).
  • Intrinsic Trait - Split Electron (Fires an arrow that splits when released. Aiming down sights and fully drawing the bow both decreases the spread.)
  • Trait - Lightning Rod (Precision kills grant the next shot chain-lightning capabilities).

Bows are all about being precise and agile, and Trinity Ghoul rewards you handsomely for being both. Thanks to the Lightning Rod perk, the precision kills you make with this weapon allow you to chain lightning attacks, electrocuting everyone, and activating the Amplied skill.

It's incredibly satisfying to use and can deal devastating damage, especially to Overload champions, thanks to this season's Overload Bow mod.

Symmetry

The Symmetry's Revolution perk makes it a must for Scout Rifle enthusiasts in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder. (Picture: Bungie)
  • Barrel - Hammer-Forged Rifling (Durable ranged barrel. Increases range).
  • Battery - Particle Repeater (Improves stability. Increases stability).
  • Intrinsic Trait - Revolution (This weapon fires full auto. [Alternate Weapon Action]: Swap to Arc Seeker mode. Arc Seekers track toward combatants you target).
  • Perk - Dynamic Charge (Precision hits build up Dynamic Charge. Swapping to Arc Seeker mode increases damage and partially reloads the magazine based on the number of charges).
  • Stock - Composite Stock (This weapon has a versatile dual-purpose stock. Slightly increases stability. Slightly increases handling speed).

Another precision-based Arc weapon that you could bring to the battlefield is Symmetry. This Exotic Scout Rifle's Revolution perk allows it to go full auto and seek targets, making it a good option to not just kill bosses and powerful enemies but also red bar enemies.

Scout Rifles also get the Anti-Barrier Champions mod this season, so this could also be your go-to weapon for Nightfall Strikes, Legendary Lost Sectors, and other high-end activities.

You also don't have to grind for hours to get your hands on this weapon, as it's available to purchase from the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower.

Thunderlord

The seasonal mods in Season of Plunder favours Machine Guns, which makes Thunderlord a necessity. (Picture: Bungie)
  • Barrel - Polygonal Rifling (Barrel optimized for recoil reduction. Increases stability).
  • Magazine - Armor-Piercing Rounds (Rounds cause extra damage to combatant's shields and overpenetrate targets. Slightly increase range).
  • Intrinsic Trait - Reign Havoc (Final blows with this weapon generate stunning lighting strikes from above. Strong against [Disruption] Overload Champions).
  • Perk 1 - Lightning Rounds (This weapon fires faster and more accurately the longer the trigger is held. Continous damage generates stunning lightning strikes).
  • Perk 2 - Feeding Frenzy (Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time).

Thunderlord Machine Gun isn't the most powerful and game-changing Arc exotic in Destiny 2, but thanks to the addition of an insane amount of Machine Guns-related artifact mods this season, you will probably spend a lot of time using this weapon type.

Thus, Thunderlord becomes more of a necessity as it stuns Overlord champions, does increased and accurate Arc Damage over time, and takes advantage of all the Season of Plunder Machine Guns artifact mods.

Trespasser

  • Barrel - Full Bore (Barrel optimized for distance. Greatly increases range. Decreases stability. Slightly decreases handling speed).
  • Magazine - Ricochet Rounds (Rounds ricochet off hard surfaces. Increases stability. Slightly increases range).
  • Intrinsic Trait - Unrepentant (Reloading after defeating a target causes the next burst to be a longer, more powerful superburst.
  • Trait - Be the Danger (Final blows with Unrepentant superbursts automatically reload your weapon and provide an Unrepentant superburst).
  • Grip - Smooth Grip (This weapon is slightly easier to hold and aim. Slightly increases stability. Slightly increases handling speed).

Simply put, this adorable three-burst exotic sidearm is a blast to use. Its Unrepentant trait activates a superburst after reloading, which makes it faster to take down enemies.

Furthermore, final blows with the superburst will also reload the weapon and provide additional superburst. Pretty sweet right?

Riskrunner

destiny 2 riskrunner
Riskrunner is one of the most powerful and satisfying arc weapon in Destiny 2. (Picture: Bungie)
  • Barrel - Arrowhead Brake (Lightly vented barrel. Greatly controls recoil. Increases handling speed).
  • Magazine - Extended Magazine (This weapon has greatly increased magazine size, but reloads much slower. Greatly increases magazine size. Greatly decreases reload speed. Increases airborne effectiveness).
  • Intrinsic Trait - Arc Conductor (When taking Arc Damage, this weapon becomes more powerful and resists incoming Arc Damage. Kills extend the time in this overcharged state).
  • Perk - Superconductor (When Arc Conductor is active, shots fired have the chance to become chain lightning and return ammo).
  • Grip- Short-Action Stock (This weapon is especially easy to grip. Greatly increases handling speed).

Whether you're a new player or a veteran Destiny player, you have probably heard about or used the Riskrunner exotic SMG in Destiny 2. Every New Light player gets the quest to acquire Riskrunner super early in the game, and rightly so since it's one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

This is hands down the best Arc Weapon to use in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder, thanks to its Arc Conductor and Superconductor perks. When Arc Conductor is active, you gain increased arc resistance and deal more damage from this weapon. On the other hand, Superconductor allows it to chain lightning attacks and return ammo.

All of these additions make Riskrunner the most fast-paced and flashy Arc weapon that deals high DPS and is also satisfying to use. And that concludes our list of Top 5 Arc Weapons to use in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder.
