With the Diablo Immortal update on in mid-November, Blizzard proceeded with the first round of Server Merges. Hidden inside the patch notes, however, was one of the biggest and most-welcome changes to Diablo Immortal; the ability to craft Set items.
This guide covers all the details you need to know about crafting Set items in Diablo Immortal, the Fabled Wisp cost and other materials required to craft a piece, and the caveats such as Hell difficulty restrictions you need to know about.
How To Craft Set Items in Diablo Immortal & Cost
Once you’ve farmed some Fabled Wisps, you can head to Charsi’s Forge in Westmarch to use it to craft Set items of your choosing. Charsi has a new chat option called “Set Crafting”. Simply select it, then select the Set item from a dropdown menu you wish to craft, alongside the Hell difficulty level it comes from.
Thankfully, this isn’t behind any paywall, which means free-to-play players who have never spent a cent in Diablo Immortal can craft Set items! Each Set item costs five (5) Fabled Wisps to craft, as well as one (1) Glowing Shard to craft.
However, this will require some farming, as only Set items acquired from dungeon bosses and Heavy Austere Chests after the maintenance update completed on 9th November 2022 can be salvaged for this new crafting material. This means you can’t go into your Stash and salvage all the set items you’ve acquired previously for Fabled Wisps.
Blizzard explains why they added this excellent new Diablo Immortal feature: “We have been listening to a deluge of feedback regarding players having a hard time finding specific Set items. It is our belief that adding the ability to craft specific Set items will provide a path for players to reliably complete their sets.”
Diablo Immortal Crafting Set Items Hell Difficulty Restrictions
The only caveat for crafting Set items in Diablo Immortal is that there is a Hell difficulty restriction. Simply put, you cannot craft a Hell V level set item from Fabled Wisps earned by salvaging, for example, a Hell II Set item.
To craft a Hell V Set item in Diablo Immortal, you will need to salvage Hell V Set items earned after 9th November 2022 to craft it alongside one Glowing Shard. The latter shouldn’t be a problem.
Therefore, if you want a specific Set item, we suggest selecting the correct Hell difficulty level first, then heading into a dungeon with a bonus drop chance for Set items. Salvage these as you farm them, and get that Set you’ve always wanted.
