Achieving your dream home in Palia will take some time as you’ll need to master the various skills and unlock multiple recipes. While at the beginning of your campaign you will acquire a housing plot, your current housing arrangement does see you living out of a tent, but not for long.
After completing the Learning the Ropes and Spiffy It Up quests, you will begin the Home, Sweet Home quest where you can build your first home. So say goodbye to the tent for now as we’ve detailed how to complete the Home, Sweet Home quest and learn how to build a house in Palia.
Palia Home, Sweet Home Quest Objective List
The Home, Sweet Home quest will introduce players to the Housing system in Palia through the available mechanics on building your home and placing it on your housing plot via Placement Mode. Additionally, the Foraging, Mining, and Furniture Making skills will play a massive role in this quest as you’ll need to obtain various resources. We’ve listed the quest objectives for the Home, Sweet Home quest:

How To Complete The Home, Sweet Home Quest In Palia
Following the Learning the Ropes and Spiffy It Up quests, you will have learned the basics of Foraging, Mining, and Furniture Making skills and have acquired your home’s blueprints from the mayor. Now, it’s time to build your first home, which takes some time as you’ll receive additional quests to purchase various tools to help you finish building your home.
To start placing the foundation on your housing plot, you must enter the Housing system by hitting the H key. You’ll get a top or aerial view of the housing and surrounding plots, which can be acquired later in-game.
From the UI menu, scroll down to the Items tab, where you’ll find the blueprint for your home to place the foundation anywhere on your housing plot. Once placed, Tish will appear on your housing plot, advising you on building your home, for which you’ll need a Basic Sawmill and a Stone Smelter to process the Sapwood logs and Stones.
You will receive the Plank by Plank and Brick by Brick quests which tasks you with obtaining these tools from Ashura and Hassian for 100 Gold each. Additionally, you’ll need to have reached Level 2 in Foraging and Mining to purchase them.
After obtaining the Basic Sawmill and a Stone Smelter, you can begin processing Sapwood logs and Stones to add the Sapwood Planks and Stone Bricks to your Inventory. You can start building the home, which can be done by interacting with the notice board placed in front of it.
If you don’t have enough resources, you can chop down more trees and mine the nodes littered across your housing plot or throughout Kilima Village. Here, you can contribute Sapwood Planks and Stone Bricks, which will help you build your home and complete the Home, Sweet Home quest.
