Texas Chain Saw Massacre offers crossplay, meaning that players can hop into a game with fans playing the game on other platforms. But how can you get into a TCSM lobby with your friends playing on Xbox if you're on Playstation or PC, and vice versa?

Here's how to turn crossplay on when playing Texas Chain Saw Massacre so you can seamlessly play with friends on other platforms, whether you're fighting back as Victims or taking them down as a deadly group of Slaughter family members.

Crossplay is turned on automatically for Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5 platforms. If you own Texas Chain Saw Massacre on any of these platforms, you'll automatically be able to play with players from other platforms and will be matched up with them in public matches.

If you find that crossplay is, for some reason, turned off, you'll need to turn it back on. Alternatively, you might want to turn it off yourself. Here's how to access the toggle on PlayStation 5 and PC:

  1. Go to the main menu.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Select Game.
  4. Find Crossplay in the list, and enable or disable it to your liking.

On Xbox Series X/S, you can toggle TCSM crossplay with these steps:

  1. Go to 'Profile and System.'
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Account
  4. Find the "Privacy and Online Safety" menu.
  5. Find Xbox Privacy.
  6. Select View Details and Customize.
  7. Select Communication and Multiplayer.
  8. Under "You can join Cross-network Play," toggle to your liking; select "Allow" to enable crossplay.

While crossplay is turned on automatically for some consoles and PC, the same isn't the case for Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, crossplay isn't available for TCSM at all for Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Thankfully, you'll still be able to play with other Xbox One players on the Xbox One, and other PS4 players using the PS4, but you won't be able to play with anyone else.

While it's possible that Gun Media could add crossplay for these platforms in the future, it seems quite unlikely, as it becomes increasingly challenging for those using older-generation platforms to play with current-generation platforms due to software updates and changes.

Once your crossplay is on and ready to go, you can play with anyone in Texas Chain Saw Massacre. It's on by default, so you won't need to take any extra steps to make this happen; however, if you notice your crossplay isn't working, you might want to check that crossplay is available for your device.
