As 2021 winds down, similar to platforms like Spotify, Twitch has shared with users personalised statistics regarding their time spent on the website.
In a year marred by controversies, from the DMCA-pocalypse to massive hacks revealing sensitive information about its users, it seems Twitch wants to end 2021 with yet another one, as Ludwig Aghren has called them out for wiping him from the Twitch Recap.
The Twitch Recap allows both viewers and streamers to get a personalised stat card for their year on the platform. For viewers, it showcases your most-watched content creators, categories, how many messages you sent, and more.
Erasing Ludwig after his legendary subathon and breaking Tyler "Ninja" Blevin's record as the most-subbed content creator on Twitch is seen as "petty" by fans of the former Smash Melee pro, with the 26-year-old feeling unhappy after being excluded.
I’m bummed that I was completely removed from the twitch recap

Although I understand it from a business perspective it’s still sad to be erased from so many people’s year
Thanks to everyone who watched me
I appreciate you <3

Ludwig recently signed an exclusivity deal to stream on YouTube starting this past 30th November. He would later reveal that Twitch giving him the cold shoulder when negotiating a new contract ultimately lead to his decision to choose YouTube.
