PewDiePie Banned From Twitch For... Some Reason

PewDiePie has been banned from Twitch for some unclear reason, which has fans both confused and concerned.

PewDiePie hasn't live-streamed in a long, long time, instead starting to loop through old PewDiePie YouTube videos in an attempt to capture the eyes of fans who may be looking for something to watch on Twitch. This wasn't controlled by PewDiePie directly but was instead controlled by CoPilotMedia.

The intention was seemingly to generate passive revenue for the popular streamer, looping older content for fans to view. Indeed, it was getting pretty decent views for what is ostensibly a selection of reruns, but that's over now as the channel has been banned for mysterious reasons.

It's unclear if Twitch potentially has something in the terms of service about rerunning old material that isn't live without clearing it with them, as other than channels like Pokemon it isn't really that common. Still, it seems odd that one of the most popular gaming personalities has been banned from the service.

PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg, is concentrating on his YouTube channel and his family, with his first child on its way currently.
