MC Fixer's new GTA RP track will make you move - Interview

If you play GTA RP, you must have listened to 9 to 5, a banger song full of beats that will make your feet move. The track belongs to MC Fixer, a popular GTA RP Twitch streamer and a singer who has been in the music industry for years and is produced by Yellowbear, his childhood friend.

We got a chance to talk to MC Fixer and interview him to get to know the story behind 9 to 5 while getting to know his journey and much more.

Interview with MC Fixer

9 to 5 is available on all the platforms for you to enjoy, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud. Talking to MC Fixer was such a great experience where I asked some interesting questions.

How did you decide to release your GTA RP track, and what's the story behind 9 to 5?

I work with a music producer called Yellowbear, and we have been friends since we were 12 and we both used to work in the music industry. We both kind of separated and then came back together.

I started doing GTA Roleplay, and my character is a musician, and then I thought that we can take this thing forward and Yellowbear was like, let me see what I can come up with in terms of concepts, and we decided that the first song will be about streaming which is my job.

I've got to give Yellowbear a big shoutout as he doesn't get quite enough credit for the amount of work he has done.

Why did you choose to be a musician in GTA RP? Is it something you wanted to be, or do you just like music?

So, I used to be a musician and a part of a rap group, but we broke up, and I was like, what do I do now. My dad was in the video games space, and I have always been around video games since I was five.

So, I thought streaming was taking off and let's jump into that. At first, I hated streaming because you don't get instant traction with streaming the way you do by releasing videos on YouTube. But music was kind of a start, and then I moved to streaming, and now in 2022, I am back making music; it's really, really strange.

How has it been working with Yellowbear to get 9 to 5 out, and how has been the journey till date?

It has been strange because we both were a part of a rap group together, and we both thought that we were going to be superstars by 18. Yellowbear is a fantastic musician, and we both saw the opportunity of capturing the audience.

I interviewed with GINX on TV and talked about my song, which was a fantastic opportunity for me. I would say none of this would have been possible without Yellowbear; there is no MC Fixer without him.

We definitely weren't expecting the response that we got, but we are looking to do more of it.

What was your reaction when your song caught xQc's attention on stream?

I was shocked! The plan was always to get into GTA Roleplay and have fun, but when the biggest streamer in the world skipped through different songs and stopped to listen to our song, that was enough for us to think that there is something in it.

A total of 96k people were watching his stream at that time, and if xQc liked it, there must be a lot more people who feel the same. But yes, it was a wonderful feeling.

You only stream GTA RP on your Twitch channel, and is it something you have always been doing?

So actually, I was a Call of Duty: Warzone main for a long time which helped me get partnered with Twitch. Warzone was booming at that time, and people were waking up at 4 am to play games with me, but one day I woke up and got sick of this game.

That's where I thought of jumping into GTA Roleplay and seeing what it's like, and I was hooked with it instantaneously. I used to spend hours in the game talking to other people; I had never had an experience like this in my entire life. Now I play it eight to nine hours a day, six to seven days a week.

You released one more song called Decisions; what is it about, and what is the story behind it?

Decisions was written about five years ago, and it is kind of just about life. It's about people not believing in you on many occasions, but you should just tell them that you are going to do what you want to do.

My family didn't want me to do streaming and wanted me to do my regular job because that's where the stable money was. So, this song tells my story along with my character MC Fixer that we can follow our dream and make our own decisions. It is available on all platforms Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and many more.

Thanks to the MC Fixer for taking the time to have a chat!
