Vondel is the latest map to debut in the continuously evolving roster of Warzone battle royale maps. The map is set in a Netherlands city, featuring a variety of locations such as a castle, a zoo, a university, and a city hall.

Since this map is pretty big compared to the Ashika island, many players are wondering what the lobby size is for Vondel, now that the Battle Royale mode is live. If you're also in the same boat, then look no further.

Vondel Battle Royale matches can accommodate up to 72 players, and during the launch period, players can choose from Quads, Trios, Duos, and Solos Playlists. Besides that, the game mode follows the basic Warzone Battle Royale rules. There is a shrinking circle, Loadout Drops, and limited lives with a maximum of one chance to revive through the Gulag.

Vondel will introduce a new Gulag as part of the mid-season update, located in the wine cellar and dungeon under the Castle. These areas have been emptied and are now filled with Operators who want to earn a second chance.

This Gulag is a three-lane map designed for 1v1 combat. The center has a circular structure with an opening facing the two main spawn points. It seems the designers of Vondel’s Gulag were inspired by certain Prison Complex Showers.

Activision has also confirmed that the Rotating Resurgence Playlists will shift from Vondel to Ashika Island and vice versa for a given squad size after a certain amount of time specified in-game.

Another new Vondel Battle Royale and Resurgence feature is the Signals Intelligence Contract, which initially appeared in DMZ. Just like in DMZ, this Contract requires an Operator – or their squad – to go around hacking three contract phones. However, this contract is now fine-tuned for Battle Royale and Resurgence – know that you are on the clock to get to these phones and try to stay alive to keep the cash flow going.
