When it comes to Call of Duty seasons, it can be confusing trying to keep track of them all. The season reset with each newly released title, and Warzone seasons will once again start from season 1. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launching on November 10, 2023, players will once again see the seasons reset.
So how many seasons have there been across the Call of Duty mainline titles and Warzone? When did each of them start, and when did they end? Below, we list all of the important dates for each of the past and current Call of Duty seasons.
All CoD and Warzone Season Start and End Dates

Right now, players are coming to the end of the Modern Warfare 2 cycle. The seasons will begin once again with the launch of Modern Warfare 3, and Warzone will transition over to being integrated with this new title, beginning its own seasons from 1. But each era of Call of Duty had their own set of seasons:

Warzone & Warzone 2
Both Warzone and Warzone 2 lined-up their seasons with the mainline entries. For example, Warzone 2 launched with a Season 1 on November 16, 2022, alongside Modern Warfare 2 Season 1. Warzone 2 (now named Warzone) will reset again from Season 1 with the launch of Modern Warfare 3 Season 1.
The original Warzone spanned from Modern Warfare (2019) until the end of Vanguard. Warzone 2 began with Modern Warfare 2 (2022) and will continue alongside future titles.
