FACEIT To Host Call of Duty 2024 Challengers

FACEIT is set to host the Call of Duty Challengers for 2024, providing hopefuls with their path to pro.
FACEIT To Host Call of Duty 2024 Challengers

CoD players looking to work themselves up to the big leagues will first be competing along the path to pro, namely by taking part in Challenger season. This year, the Call of Duty Challenger season is helmed by FACEIT, who are set to work alongside Activision Blizzard to provide an entry point for those working to enter the Call of Duty League.

The Challenger qualifiers will be FACEIT's first tournament in the 2024 series, where players across four regions — North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific — will be competing. Hopeful players can sign up to take part in the Challengers Cup, which starts on January 20, 2024.

The Challengers are spread across a number of elements: Cups, Opens, Elite, and Finals. There will be 11 Cups for players to take part in across the 2024 season, taking place across all four regions and offer a chance for all players to earn Challenger points via online tournaments.

Next is the Challengers Opens, the first of which will be hosted by the Boston Breach and will take place from January 26-28, 2024 at Major 1. This event will be seeded by a combination of all 2024 Cup 1 points and 10% of each player's 2023 Challenger points. An additional Open will be hosted by Toronto Ultra at Major III.

There will also be three Challengers Elite seasons across North America and Europe, followed by the Challengers Finals. It's here that the amateur competition reaches its head, and 16 teams will be fighting it out for victory. To qualify for the Finals, teams need to do so through either of the following methods:

  • Regional Leaderboard: 10 Teams (4 NA, 4 EU, 1 APAC, and 1 LATAM)

  • Last Chance Qualifier: 6 Teams (2 NA, 2 EU, 1 APAC, and 1 LATAM)

Call of Duty Challengers Cups Eligibility

Those hoping to compete in the Challengers Cups for the CoD 2024 season should ensure they meet the following requirements:

  • Players are required to play in the region in which they reside
  • 4 total players per team — can include up to 2 eligible Call of Duty League players (subject to player contract terms)
  • Call of Duty League players can be from the same or different Call of Duty League teams
  • No subs allowed

Call of Duty Challengers Cup registration opens on January 12, 2024.
