Unlock Payday 3 Throwing Knife, Flashbang & Smoke

In the high-octane co-op heisting action of Payday 3, player progress is linked to Infamy levels, with the maximum level being 150. As players complete challenges and perform specific tasks during heists, they will get more Infamy and level up, unlocking skills, guns, and throwable weapons.

The HE Grenade in Payday 3 is unlocked by default. However, if you want to add some increasingly useful throwable weapons to your arsenal,  you will need to reach a certain Infamy Level on your account. Below, you will find the specific Infamy Levels you need to reach in order to unlock the Throwing Knife, Smoke Grenade, and Flashbang Grenade, alongside official in-game descriptions.

• Flashbang Grenade (Unlock at Infamy Level 7): "Stun your enemies with a blinding light! Flashbanged cops make the best human shields."
• Throwing Knife (Unlock at Infamy Level 16): "Use this ninja shit for a quiet kill, but remember to retrieve it from the body. Knives ain't cheap."
• Smoke Grenade (Unlock at Infamy Level 27): "Foes caught in your cloud aim worse and move slower. And if they've got asthma, they're fucked."

Remember, you can only have one throwable item equipped in your loadout, so make sure you select the correct one for your plan of action. For example, a Throwing Knife would be best for stealth, while an HE Grenade is clearly for going in hot and taking down enemies with a bang.
