Texas Chain Saw Massacre's team hosted a livestream FAQ yesterday, and within it they announced some major gameplay changes along with new rewards and modes that will switch up the game greatly.

Following the upcoming update, players will be able to level up beyond level 99 and gain rewards for doing so; it's unknown what these rewards will be, though it's possible they could come in the form of in-game cosmetics or currencies. This will ensure that the game's most dedicated players will be able to progress rather than hitting a wall after progressing to level 99.

Additionally, players will no longer need Leatherface to start a game. This will give players the ability to experiment with different blends of Family Member teams, rather than forcing at least one player to take on the role of Leatherface. It's nice to see this change, since it was one that the community has been asking for for a while now.

As what is perhaps the most exciting part of the update, Texas Chain Saw Massacre's developers are also planning on adding a single-player mode to the game. They announced during the livestream that the mode is in development and will be coming soon, though an exact release date was not provided.

These announcements come shortly after developers made a myriad of bug fixes to the game, patching up numerous gameplay bugs and glitches, many of which have been in the game since launch.
