Twitch icon and FaZe Clan co-owner, Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff, popularly known for his Warzone and Apex Legends streams, recently announced that he has extended his exclusive streaming contract with the Amazon-owned streaming platform.

This follows the exodus of prominent streamers, such as Ben "DrLupo" Lupo and Tim "TimTheTatman" Betar, to YouTube Gaming in September of this year, which ultimately prompted many fans to speculate that NICKMERCS would switch streaming platforms as well.

Of course, this was not the case after NICKMERCS announced "the show goes on" on Twitter on 5th October.

NICKMERCS' decision to remain on Twitch is understandable given that he first joined the streaming platform over a decade ago - back when it was still known as "JustinTV." Since then, NICKMERCS has garnered over 15 million followers and is among the highest all-time subscribed streamers on Twitch, boasting more than 45,000 active subscribers.

Twitch also tweeted the announcement via its official Twitter account, saying: "When you're about the big life, you're in it all the way. Big shots, big moves and big love. NICKMERCS and the MFAM - doing it things only on Twitch."

The details regarding NICKMERCS' Twitch contract remains a mystery but one thing is certain: it must have been compelling (and lucrative) enough to dissuade him from opting to join the likes of DrLupo and TimTheTatman on YouTube Gaming.

In a response to The Verge regarding whether he would consider switching to a competitor platform, NICKMERCS said that "there is currently nothing like streaming on Twitch."

Although NICKMERCS will continue to exclusively stream on Twitch, his MFAM will still be able to enjoy his regular video content on his YouTube channel.
