MW2 Multiplayer Season 5 Free Access Now Live: Start, End Dates, How To Play

Activision has announced a new free access period for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer. As part of the Season 5 Reloaded offerings, players who have yet to purchase MW2 have a chance to check out the action in the game's multiplayer mode. These types of free access periods are fairly common, giving everyone a chance to jump into what Call of Duty has to offer.

During this particular free access period, players will have the chance to try out a wide variety of Multiplayer content, including new maps and modes like DRC - Zone 1 and Havoc, Core, Hardcore, and Battle Maps, and more. Below, we'll go over everything you need to know about this free access period, including how to play and when it ends.

MW2 Multiplayer Season 5 September Free Access: Start, End Dates

This month, the MW2 Multiplayer free access period begins on September 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. PT. It will end on September 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. PT. This gives players roughly one week to jump into the free access period.

How Long Can I Play MW2 Multiplayer Free Access?

However, it's important to note that you can't play the MW2 free access period for the entire duration of the event. In fact, the free access period only offers players up to 2.5 hours of in-match game time, which can be accessed at anytime during the event week.

To take part in the MW2 Multiplayer free access period this September, players will need to head to their desired platform's digital storefronts to download Modern Warfare 2. It's important to take note of the time that the event goes live (10 a.m. PT) as the option to download the free access won't be available until then.

• 6v6 Core Maps: Shipment, Shoot House, Dome, Farm 18, Mercado Las Almas, Embassy, Vondel Waterfront, DRC — Zone 1, Punta Mar, Strike
• Battle Maps: Guijarro, Al Malik International
• Core Modes: Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Grind, Search & Destroy
• Hardcore Modes: Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Grind
• Party Modes: Infected, Gun Game, Havoc
• Battle Map Modes: Ground War, Invasion
