Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion adds 30 hours worth of content, including new story missions, side gigs, vehicle contracts, and other replayable activities.

One of these new activities involves looking for Air Drops that occur randomly all over Dog Town. In this guide, we cover everything you need to know about Airdrops, including details on how to find them and the rewards they offer.

How Airdrops Work in Cyberpunk 2077

Airdrops in Cyberpunk 2077 are random activities that spawn only in the Dog Town region of the game. They drop some of the best loot in the Phantom Liberty expansion, including the new Iconic weapons.

As mentioned previously, the Airdrops happen randomly, and you can spot them by the red smoke wafting out of tall buildings in Dog Town. There's also an audio cue, which triggers when you're near a drop.

Airdrops occur on top of the tallest buildings in the Dog Town, and getting there isn't as easy as it may seem. You may have to do some platforming and hacking to reach the top.

The drop zones are chaotic, and you will often find different factions at war trying to secure the drop. You can sneak in and steal the loot or interrupt the fight and eliminate enemies of both factions; the choice is yours.

Interact with the Airdrop to activate the hacking mini-game. This should be familiar if you have hacked terminals in the base game. The only difference here is that you get multiple attempts. Additionally, enemies can't hurt you while you're hacking the drop.

The Airdrop rewards are random, but you can get a handful of unique items from it. This includes stuff like new cyberware, clothes, crafting components, iconic weapons, capacity shards, skill shards, and more.

That's everything you need to know about Airdrops in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.
