Cyberpunk 2077: How To Get Your Own Pet Cat

Cyberpunk 2077 is M-rated and for good reason. It's full of death, sex, and fast cars. Enter: cats.

Just a couple turns from your apartment door and with a little off-the-grid side mission for food, you can have your own pet cat in Night City.

Here’s where you need to go in Night City and exactly what to do to get yourself a cat in Cyberpunk 2077. SPOILERS AHEAD.

How to get a pet cat in Cyberpunk 2077

First and foremost, you will have to have settled in your apartment in Watson. You can fast travel to this location using the Megabuilding H10: Atrium point.

Once inside your apartment, step out the door and turn left. Walking down the corridor which forces you to turn right, you will find a trash bin you can interact with. In the bin, you will find a data card titled “Feed Teh Cat.”

Once you pick up the data card, you will be displayed a message that reads the following: 

“somebody feed the cat

anything works but he likes chicken most

just say pspspsps and he’ll come runnin”

Before the next part of your journey, make sure to check your inventory.

Cat food can be dropped by enemies or obtained through lootable containers. You might save yourself the hassle if you already have some cat food on you.

If not, the most reliable area to obtain cat food is in Santo Domingo, through the Arasaka Industrial Park fast travel point.

After spawning, you will need to be well-armed and protected as you need to walk right through the hostile area. 

You will walk forward then down the stairs on your left and through the door. In there, you will find cat food on top of some Arasaka cargo. Pick it up and bail.

Once you fast-travel back to your apartment, pour the cat food on the bowl next to the bin where you found the data card, go to sleep or fast-forward a couple of hours and the cat should be eating out of the bowl.

In a cutscene that resembles Keanu Reeves’ interview with puppies, Johnny Silverhand will help you bring the cat inside with a laundry basket and a new bowl for food and water. You now own a Cyberpunk 2077 Cat Pet and the internet smiles again. Everybody wins.
