WoW SoD Phase 2 Release Date

Players have been jumping into World of Warcraft Classic for the major Season of Discovery update that the game has been hit with. In the Season of Discovery update, players are enjoying playing WoW in a new but familiar way. The main key mechanic that has changed everything is the new Runes that are available.

With new items and new ways to play, Blizzard has decided to roll out the Season of Discovery in multiple phases. Currently, we are in Phase One of the Season of Discovery update. Here, we are going to go over when Phase 2 of Season of Discovery will come out. On top of that, we will go over what new content players should expect.

When Does WoW Classic Season Of Discovery Phase 2 Release?

At the time of this writing, there is no official release date for when Phase 2 of Season of Discovery will be released for WoW Classic. Even though that is the case, we do have an approximate idea of when Phase 2 will be released. Blizzard has recently posted a roadmap for how WoW will update during the year 2024.

From our approximation based on the roadmap we have, Phase 2 will launch sometime in February 2024. The Phase 2 section of WoW Classic is placed between Winter and Spring. Since Spring starts on March 19, 2024, that would place Phase 2 launching sometime in February. We will update this page once we know more.

What Is Coming In WoW Classic Season Of Discovery Phase 2?

There is a lot of new content that players can expect in Phase 2 of Season of Discovery. First and most importantly, the player level cap will be increased to level 40. This new level cap will allow players to take on the new challenges that Phase 2 will bring. Plus, the level 40 limit will allow players to ease into the new phase for WoW Classic.

The biggest new piece of content for players will be the Gnomergan raid. Players will have to work together to discover the weaknesses of each boss in the raid. On top of the new raid, there is going to be a new PvP event and new PvP zones as well. To top it all off, there are going to be new Runes added so players can change how they approach the game.
