Although World of Warcraft’s new Dragonflight expansion has been positively received by most of the fanbase, some fans are rightfully groaning at the game thanks to a recent bug that disconnects them and traps them in a loading screen. If this has happened to you or you want to know what to do if it does happen to you, then we have you covered.

Below we’ll walk you through how to fix this error, how the error comes about, and what Blizzard is doing about it to save players around the world from frustration and wasted time.

Fix WoW Dragonflight “Stuck on Loading Screen” Error

As it currently stands, there is no guaranteed way to fix these errors aside from throwing yourself at the login server constantly and hoping for the best. This glitch is most likely on Blizzard’s end, as players’ game files are all as they should be, and it’s being experienced by too many players to be a client issue.

The error results in players being disconnected from the game and being trapped in a loading screen that reads “world server is down”, before being thrown back into the character screen. Luckily Blizzard appears to be aware of this issue and is likely in the process of creating and rolling out a patch to resolve it.

The error has even been reported by some popular streamers, cementing that the issue is on Blizzard’s side. Players who are currently online are also having problems with the boats to The Dragon Isles not arriving or arriving at an unknown time, so there are some problems with the game as it stands.

As frustrating as it is, we’ll just have to wait for Blizzard to rectify this issue on their end. (Picture: Blizzard)

However, this isn’t anything out of the ordinary for a World of Warcraft launch, especially in the first few weeks or months after release, as players can often find bugs the devs miss. Most populated servers have launch issues, and the best course of action is usually to just step back and let Blizzard sort things out without smashing your keyboard.

But be sure to check back here soon as we get updated on this error from Blizzard and, hopefully, can share more positive news on a possible fix being rolled out for the error.
