The new updates to the profession system are designed to get players excited about being crafters once again. These aims could help to build a new community of crafters.
WoW Profession Crafting Orders

Dragonflight is coming with a lot of new updates including Crafting Orders that will allow other players to request crafted items. This is great for players who need crafter items from professions they either don’t possess or have a high enough skill.
A new menu will be added that allows you to look through different recipes for all craftable goods. When creating a Crafting Order, players can either include some or all of the regents required to make the order.

Players can either create Crafting Orders with people in front of them or they can go to an NPC that will act like the Auction House and send out a Crafting Order until someone with the skill level and the means accepts it. Players can choose to have their Crafting Order open to the public, available to a specific guild, or a specific player.
This is a great way for players to level up their professions without having to obtain mats. The Crafting Order allows you to obtain items that are Soulbound which was only available before to players with the ability to make the item.
World of Warcraft Profession Updates

Along with Crafting Orders, professions will receive new specializations that can be acquired in unique ways. Some of the specializations can be found in books or by meeting NPCs who can teach you the specialization.
Specializations will be required to make the highest quality craftable goods. Along with specializations, professions will also have special gear added and a crafting hub will be available in Valdrakken.
