There may be a few instances when you face some sort of error or bug in Call of Duty: Warzone that may prevent you from playing the game. One of these is the error code 48 “download failed”, due to which players are not able to play any match in Warzone Pacific.
If you are one of them, here’s the reason why you are facing this error and what are the potential fixes to get rid of it.
Warzone Pacific error code 48 “download failed” fix
The error code 48 “download failed can appear if the game fails to update automatically. In that case, you should check if Warzone Pacific has received a newer version that you don’t have.
If yes, the first thing that you can try is to exit the game and restart it so that the patch gets a chance to get downloaded. If this doesn’t work, you can also try restarting your system; however, if the error is still there, you will need to uninstall the game download it again.
This will ensure that you have the latest version of Warzone Pacific, but since it is not a viable option for everyone, you can skip downloading the game all over again and submit your ticket to Activision support.
There you can go to the support options from the top of the screen and select Call of Duty: Warzone along with your platform by logging in with your Activision account. Then you will have to explain your issue and then finally submit your ticket.
