What you need to know about Cursed Items in Diablo Immortal, including how you can get more drops, as well as the negative and positive effects/powers.
Diablo Immortal Cursed Items: Get Drops, Increase Power & Effects

Right in the middle of Diablo Immortal Season 11, Blizzard decided to release the third Major content update for 2023. It is called the Age of Falling Towers and features a wealth of content, including a new item rarity in Diablo Immortal, Cursed Items.

This guide explains how Nephalem can get their hands on Cursed Items in Diablo Immortal, how they can increase these items' effects/powers, and both the positive and negative impacts of these new Legendaries.

Update on 9 May 2023: We've updated this guide with the latest on getting Cursed Items quickly in Diablo Immortal.

How To Get Cursed Item Drops in Diablo Immortal

First of all, Cursed Items can drop from anywhere in Sanctuary. This means that you can farm your favorite spots, which you would normally do for Legendary items in Diablo Immortal, for a chance at a Cursed Item drop.

To get more Cursed Item drops in Diablo Immortal, we suggest joining a Clan and competing in the Accursed Towers event. Here, you can get Cursed Items in PvE matches while collecting Cursed Shards.

Lastly, you also have a chance of getting some more Cursed Items in Diablo Immortal by completing PvP matches.

Think of Cursed Items in Diablo Immortal as double-edged swords. These items feature both positive and negative effects. However, neither the positive nor the negative effect will activate unless you have two Cursed Items with the same positive effect equipped. If you have two or more equipped, both the positive and negative effects will activate.

If you add more Cursed Items to your slots, the positive effect will grow in power at intervals of four and six pieces. Blizzard has provided examples of how the Cursed Items in Diablo Immortal work and the effects on your character. Check it out below.

Diablo Immortal Cursed Items Example:

If you have Shoulders with the following Positive and Negative Properties:

  • Your summoning skills have a chance to release a demonic roar dealing damage to nearby enemies.
  • Increases Cooldown of Dash skills.

Then you stumble across a pair of Boots with the following Positive and Negative Properties:

  • Your summoning skills have a chance to release a demonic roar dealing damage to nearby enemies.
  • Reduces Primary Attack damage.

Since both items share the same Positive Property, equipping both items will provide you with their shared Positive Property but also their Negative Properties: Increases Cooldown of Dash skills and reduces Primary Attack damage.
