WoW Classic 2024 Roadmap Schedule, Content & Details

Developer Blizzard has big plans for World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic players in 2024, with a wealth of content and a schedule revealed, from the Classic Cataclysm expansion to Self-Found and more phases of the Season of Discovery, there's a lot to look forward to.

WoW Classic Roadmap 2024: Content & Schedule

With the WoW Classic Cataclysm expansion creating hype, and the Season of Discovery being extremely fun, Blizzard is hitting all the right notes. Sharing the content roadmap, the developers explained that:

In WoW Classic, we have updates coming for Classic Hardcore with “Solo Self Found” support in February as a new way to challenge players and add a little more hardcore into your Hardcore. Lok’tar ogar! We’ll also have more phases to release in Season of Discovery next year as the adventure continues. And, of course, Cataclysm Classic is right around the corner in the first half of next year!

Check out a list of all the confirmed WoW Classic 2024 content and broad schedules below. Keep in mind that the details indicate northern hemisphere seasons, so for those in the southern hemisphere, Summer is Winter, etc.

WoW Classic Winter 2024 Content Schedule

In January and February 2024, we will see the release of the Ruby Sanctum raid in WotLK Classic. The Season of Discovery will also progress with a new phase and a level cap of 40, featuring a new raid, PvP event, and new runes to discover!

WoW Classic Spring 2024 Content Schedule

In Spring 2024, we will see the release of WoW Classic Hardcore's Self-Found mode, something fans have been looking forward to for quite a while. The Season of Discovery will also get new content in the form of a level 50 cap increase, new runes to find, and a new raid.

The Cataclysm Classic expansion's pre-patch event will also take place, adding account-wide collections, Transmog, the Worgen and Goblin races, new guild features, and, of course, a pre-patch event.

WoW Classic Summer 2024 Content Schedule

In the Summer of 2024, the WoW Classic Cataclysm expansion launches with an awesome campaign, seven dungeons, four raids, and much more. This expansion is scheduled for the first half of 2024, just to be clear. Blizzard also plans to add the Rise of the Zandalari content during the Summer 2024 period.

We'll also see another phase of Season of Discovery, with the level cap increased to 60, including endgame activities and another round of runes do find.

WoW Classic Autumn 2024 Content Schedule

The Autumn 2024 WoW Classic content schedule has the least information, as it is the furthest away, of course. We do know that Blizzard will release the Rage of the Firelands update during this time period and add a new endgame content update to the Season of Discovery.

So there you have it, the full content schedule for WoW Classic in 2024! We are really looking forward to new phases of the Season of Discovery, alongside Self-Found mode in Hardcore, and we hope to see the Cataclysm expansion see success in Classic, as it didn't get the greatest of receptions when it released for regular WoW many years ago.
