While a lot of players can log in to WoW Dragonflight, many are stuck not being able to travel to the capital cities (Ogrimar and Stormwind) or Dragon Isles. They are getting the “Transfer Aborted” error while trying to access these areas.

This is due to the World of Warcraft authentication servers causing failed or slow login attempts. Blizzard confirmed this in the early hours of the morning on 29th November 2022.

At the time of writing, there is no fix or workaround for this error. The only thing players can do is wait until Blizzard fixes it. Thankfully, the developer is already aware of it and working on it, so it might not be too long before this issue is a thing of the past.

Some players also run into the “World Server Down” issue when traveling to Dragon Isles. Many have checked the WoW Dragonflight server status and made sure there isn’t planned maintenance happening.

If the servers are operational, but you are still running into this issue, please be aware that Blizzard is working on a fix. No need to go all IT Crowd on your router or gaming PC. The only fix right now is to wait patiently.

So there you have it, an explanation about the WoW Dragonflight Transfer Aborted and World Servers Down errors citizens of Azeroth have been running into. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is wait until Blizzard fixes these bugs, which, to be fair, shouldn’t take too long, and we expect them to be resolved with a hotfix before 1st December 2022.

We will endeavor to update this article if any fix becomes available or if Blizzard pushes out an update to alleviate these issues.
