The first Splinteres Spark of Shadowflame can be found almost immediately by completing the quest called “Power Unified“, available in Loamm after completing the tutorial quest for the new Campaign, Embers of Neltharion. This gives you the first Splintered Spark, but now you’ll need to find a second.
There are two ways to go about getting more Splintered Sparks of Shadowflame. The first is to complete the Weekly Renown Quest in Loamm, which requires that you earn 1500 Renown with the Loamm Niffen.
The second is also a weekly check-off, which requires players to complete the weekly PvP Quest; Obtain Honor in Battlegrounds, Arena Skirmishes, or Rated Arenas. Whichever quest is available in the Gladiator’s Refuge in Valdrakken will essentially reward you with one Splintered Spark of Shadowflame.
Most players choose to do the Weekly Renown Quest in Loamm as there are tons of collectibles to claim and is easily ranked up as you go. All this means you’re pretty much guarenteed to get one Spark each week and can get one Spark of Shadowflame every two weeks.
