This mode is played on WoW Classic Hardcore servers, which means making your way through the old, classic content, where death is permanent. The addition of Self-Found makes this mode even more difficult than it already is.
You must start at level 1 on the WoW Classic Hardcore servers and select “Self-Found” in the character creation screen. You will be restricted from buying items from the Auction House or trading in any form, including receiving enhancements. Players are also unable to receive mail from others or even sell anything from the Auction House. Everything your character earns must be “self-found,” as the name of the mode suggests.

- Once Battle.net is installed and updated, select World of Warcraft from the list of games.
- Access to WoW Classic Hardcore is included and available to all players with an active World of Warcraft subscription—no additional purchase is required. You can subscribe by visiting the Battle.net Shop.
- In the Game Version drop-down menu above the Play button, choose the World of Warcraft Classic option, then click Install.
