Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is finally here, bringing plenty of additions to the battle royale, including a list of balance changes that are sure to spice the experience, and no better way to show this is by nerfing none-other than the CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle.
The AMAX has been the most popular weapon in the entire game, accruing a 12.4% pick ratio, an impressive feat considering the number of weapons and players in Warzone.
Raven Software, in hopes of keeping the meta diverse, has given the AMAX yet another nerf, but will it be enough to stop its reign of terror in Verdansk?

Ravensoft decided to reduce the Upper Torso Damage multiplier from 1.2 to 1.1 with the upcoming Warzone Season 4 update. The reason for this is that, as mentioned, the AMAX has stayed on top of the long-range AR game for far too long.
"We love the CR-56 AMAX (MW) and we will likely see it return in the future when the massive balance overhaul takes place. Though for now, we would like to shake up the long-range space and see what rises to the top."
It seems that with these nerfs, the AMAX might lose its spot on the most broken Warzone guns list. Only time will tell.
