Season 4 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, packed with new features, fresh content, and—as we’ll cover here—a returning game mode that’s set to shake things up. In this guide, we’ll break down everything you need to know about the upcoming Clash mode and how it fits into the action of Season 4.

Clash Mode Returns in Warzone

Clash Mode is back in Call of Duty: Warzone, offering massive 52v52 Team Deathmatch gameplay on a grand scale. The mode was originally introduced during Black Ops Cold War Season Five, and now this revamped version drops players into iconic Verdansk POIs such as Quarry, Farmland, and Boneyard.

As a quick overview: there’s no shrinking circle, and players get instant access to their loadouts. The goal is simple—be the first team to reach 500 points within a 15-minute time limit. Points are earned through kills, contracts, domination flags, and special event crates.

Objectives and Scoring System

While players will earn points for their eliminations as usual, there are also several additional ways to score in Clash Mode. These methods are outlined below:

Scoring Points in Clash
In Clash mode, players earn points through kills, but there are also bonus points awarded for completing contracts and other objectives. (Picture: Actvision)
  • 1 point per enemy elimination

  • 2 points with the Double Down Powerup

  • 5 points for completing Contracts

  • 10 points for capturing Domination Points, Bonus Crates, or Cash Crates

In addition, standard contracts are available during matches. Scavenger and Recon Contracts function the same as in Battle Royale and grant five team points for each completion.

The Search and Destroy contract is exclusive to Clash Mode, however. In this mode, one team plants a bomb on a Buy Station, and if it detonates, they receive high-rarity weapons and items from the Buy Station’s inventory. Other teams can defuse the bomb to trigger a Fire Sale, offering major discounts at Buy Stations.

Dynamic In-Match Events

During Clash Mode, there will also be several mid-match events that add chaos and strategy:

There will also be unique in-match events that occur randomly, offering valuable combat advantages and powerful gear. (Picture: Actvision)
  • Domination Points: Capture flags for points; they respawn throughout the match.

  • Bonus Points Crates: Cargo drops offering 10 points each.

  • Clash Firesale: Discounts at Buy Stations, restocked loot crates, and increased cash drops.

  • Cash Crates: Drop during specific events and grant 10 points.

  • Power Surge: Increases the drop rate of Powerups for a short time.

These events make the match unpredictable and give teams multiple ways to surge ahead in the score. They also appear randomly throughout the match, so keep your wits about you and take full advantage when they appear.

Exclusive Gameplay Features

Clash Mode includes several gameplay features not found in other Warzone modes, all designed to give you an edge in combat or slow down your enemies:

Gameplay features
As with any mode, Clash will also include unique features like SAM turrets, the Train, and even UAV Towers to help you pinpoint enemy positions. (Picture: Actvision)
  • Buy Stations with unique items like Sentry Turrets, the Hand Cannon Killstreak, and the Specialist Perk.

  • New Field Upgrade – Door Barricade: Reinforce doors to block enemy access. These can be destroyed with explosives or melee attacks.

  • SAM Turrets: Pay to activate anti-air batteries that shoot down drones and helicopters.

  • The Train: A stationary train appears on maps with railroads, offering loot and cover.

  • UAV Towers: Spend cash to ping enemy positions in your area.

Clash Powerups: Temporary Combat Enhancements

Power-ups are a key part of Clash. Five different types can drop throughout the match, especially during the Power Surge event. Each one grants a temporary buff immediately upon being picked up. All five can be obtained in a single match, and their frequency is significantly increased if Power Surge activates.

  • Hunter (Red): Highlights enemies and allies through walls; grants Tracker and High Alert.
  • Speed Boost (Yellow): Fall damage immunity and +20% movement speed.

  • Regeneration Aura (Green): Rapid health and armor regeneration for you and nearby teammates.

  • Double Down (Blue): Eliminations count for 2 points instead of 1.

  • Kill Mag (Purple): Refills your weapon's magazine on kill and speeds up reloads.

So there you have it. Clash Mode’s return will inject Warzone with large-scale, objective-driven chaos. With new contracts, timed events, exclusive killstreaks, and a map full of tactical options, this mode promises adrenaline-fueled fun for players craving nonstop action. We can’t wait to see you all there when Season 4 drops on May 29!
