Warzone's mid-season 1.5 update is now live, but unfortunately, for many players, it has brought more problems than enjoyment.

Players across all platforms are reporting that the game is borderline unplayable after the 1.5 update, but it seems that Xbox owners have been particularly struck with all kinds of performance and stability issues following the update.

Warzone players on Xbox consoles are reporting crashing, restarting, freezing, black screen, and other technical issues.

If you are facing these maddening problems as well and are hoping to find some solution, unfortunately, the situation is rather bleak, but we still might give you a few possible options that can help you to at least partially mitigate some of the issues.

Let's see what can be done.

How to fix Warzone crashing and restarting on Xbox

Before we move forward with a few possible options, we must stress that none of these is guaranteed to work, as ultimately, it is clear that update is the one causing all the issues, and it almost certainly has nothing to do with your console.

With that in mind, let's see what you can do to make sure that you have tested everything on your end.

Restart Warzone Pacific

Try to force close and reopen Warzone a few times. Oftentimes brute force is a way to go with these issues, it might not work the first few times, but eventually will do the trick.

Check console's Internet connection

If possible, use an Ethernet connection instead of a WiFi connection, as the latter is unstable and often doesn't provide enough bandwidth for the game to work properly.

Make sure to test your internet connection by testing other online games on your console and seeing if there work without any issues.

Clear the console cache

Completely clearing the console's cache might fix some incompatibility issues that are causing the problem with Warzone Pacific after the Season 1.5 update.

You will need to power cycle your console in order to clear its cache. Follow these steps:

Shut down the console completely
Unplug it from the wall
Wait for about 5 minutes
Plug it back and turn it on

This might clear some conflicting problems after the update and allow you to play the game.

Reinstall Warzone Pacific

Often time big updates introduce some issues caused by incompatibility or problems with old files. This can be avoided by performing a clean install of the game.

Delete Warzone Pacific completely from your console, clear the console cache, and then do a fresh installation of the game.
