Cyberpunk 2077: How To Get Gold-Plated Baseball Bat

With around over 1000 DPS depending on your progress, this melee weapon is a sure grab for body-to-body combat. Here is how to get a gold-plated baseball bat in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077: How To Get Gold-Plated Baseball Bat

Cyberpunk 2077 is violent by nature. The city of dreams has people stepping over each other to make them true, so there will definitely be some blood-running. The question is not if, but what is going to make it run?

With a generous quantity of weapons to choose from, it’s always best to arm yourself for any, if not, every worst-case scenario. If you ever need something for close combat and enemies just keep suffocating you, fear not.

Here is everything you need to know to cop, arguably, the most powerful melee weapon in Cyberpunk 2077, the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat.

If it hasn’t been clear in earlier guides, there are SPOILERS ahead, so scroll and read at your own risk.

How to get Gold Plated Baseball Bat in Cyberpunk 2077

The Gold-Plated Baseball Bat is a fun reward for a fun series of missions. After completing the mainline mission “Tapeworm”, a chain of side jobs will unlock one after the other.

You will need to go down the line, following Johnny Silverhand’s command. From completing missions for Rogue to taking a tour at Totentanz, the full sequence of quests is listed below in chronological order:

  • Main Line mission “Tapeworm”

  • Side Job mission “Chippin’ In”, in this mission you can also acquire the iconic Samurai Jacket and Johnny Silverhand’s gun and car.

  • Side Job mission “Blistering Love”

  • Side Job mission “Holdin’ On”

  • Side Job mission “Second Conflict”

On the last side job from the list, you are helping Johnny Silverhand get the band back together, literally. You have to pay Denny and Henry, former Samurai band members, a visit at Denny’s mansion.

After a little back and forth witnessed next to the cement-filled pool, Denny will drop the shiny bat onto the now-dried floor of concrete. Approach it to pick it up and get ready to raise some hell.

While the game was not intended to be completed merely with melee combat, this is definitely one of the best ways to get around it if the situation arises.

The stats are not fixed like other weapons as it depends on your in-game progress when you pick it up, but most players have reported having gotten to the “Second Conflict” side job and looting the bat with around 800-1300 DPS.

With a name like that, it is pretty self-explanatory why the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat is one of the coolest weapons in the game. You could say, CD Projekt Red knocked it out of the park with this one.
