WoW Classic Cataclysm Beta: How To Sign Up

In 2024, World of Warcraft (WoW) players will once again face the Breaker of Worlds, Deathwing. Before the expansion takes us back to a controversial time in Azeroth, however, there's a WoW Classic Cataclysm Beta to look forward to.

In this article, we explain how you can sign up for a chance to join the WoW Classic Cataclysm Beta and provide a release window for when you can expect this test to begin, so let's charge in!

How To Sign Up For WoW Classic Cataclysm Beta

It is very easy to sign up for a chance to join the WoW Classic Cataclysm Beta. You simply need to head to this page, log in with your Battle.net account, and click on the "Request Beta Access button.

You will also receive some promotional news and special offers from Blizzard via email. From here, all you need to do is wait to see if you get an email or notification on Battle.net for access to the test.

At the time of writing, it is unclear how many WoW players will be invited to participate in the Classic Cataclysm Beta. Blizzard announced that signups are open via a blog post, stating:

From the fires of destruction, a new Azeroth arises. Following Deathwing the Destroyer's cataclysmic entrance, which left a festering wound across Azeroth, heroes are called once again to experience a dramatically reforged Azeroth and defend it from utter devastation.

Players can tackle this milestone expansion again with new quality-of-life changes, including a faster content cadence, improved leveling experience, expanded Collections UI, and more!

Remember, an active World of Warcraft subscription is required to participate in the Classic Cataclysm Beta. You can also get additional cosmetic content with the WoW Cataclysm Classic Upgrade Packs if you are willing to open your wallet. A purchase, however, does not guarantee beta access.

When Does WoW Classic Cataclysm Beta Start?

At the time of writing, the exact start time and date for the WoW Classic Cataclysm Beta is not available. We do, however, know that the beta will begin in "early 2024," and the recently released roadmap (as per the image above) puts the beta's start in Winter 2024 (in the US). That's the months of December, January, and February, just in case anyone from the southern hemisphere is confused by the Winter 2024 timeline.
