CoD Aim Assist “Legal Aim Bot” Say Pros

The Aim Assist debate is still as rife as ever, with pros and content creators once again claiming it's too strong in Call of Duty.

Aim Assist remains a hotly debated topic across nearly all competitive FPS titles, be it Call of Duty, Apex Legends, or the more recent The Finals. But in the CoD scene, specifically, pros and content creators have once again brought up the discussion on whether Aim Assist is too strong.

On X, Luminosity Gaming’s HusKerrs made the damning statement, saying, “Aim assist is legal aimbot in CoD and Apex now.” A number of pros across both CoD and Apex added their own thoughts to the matter.

TSM’s ImperialHal responded simply with, “True” on the Apex front. But Complexity’s cloaksy had another take: “I’m sick and tired of MnK complaining about aim assist, COD and Apex were built around controllers not keyboard users that’s why aim assist is so strong, go play CSGO or Valorant and stick to writing emails.”

It seems the majority of fans and players agree largely with cloaksy, given the engagement reaction to his response. HusKerr replied, “Dude you didn’t have to ratio me.”

Aim Assist serves to level the playing field for those using a controller against those on mouse and keyboard. Users or the former tend not to have as much mobility or accuracy compared to those using a mouse, so a slight assist is important with cross-play as standard as it is.

But that won’t stop those using one method complaining about the other, and the debate over Aim Assist will likely be one we’ll continue to see for years to come.
