Best Sten class setup for COD Vanguard

The Sten is the first unlockable submachine gun in Call of Duty: Vanguard. While it's certainly not as punchy as the MP40, pairing the Sten with the right attachments could unlock unimaginable power. So, while other players run around the map with the MP40 or STG44 assault rifle, we challenge you to raise a few eyebrows by running kids down with this ridiculous Sten class setup.

Currently, the Sten SMG is listed as a D-Tier SMG to use in COD Vanguard. However, do not let its tiering fool you. Instead, allow us to show how much of a baddie the Sten can be with this overpowered two-shot Sten gun guide. So without further ado, here is the best Sten gunsmith class setup at the launch of COD Vanguard.

Best Sten class setup for COD Vanguard

The following Sten loadout was inspired by the YouTube channel "Ears" and is intended to make the Sten a contender against the MP40 by buffing the Sten's damage while maintaining optimal recoil control. This loadout is designed for highly aggressive mobile players that want to run around the map racking up kills.

• Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
• Barrel: No Barrel
• Optic: No Optic
• Stock: Hockenson S32S Foregrip
• Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled
• Magazine: .45 ACP 20 Rnd Fast Mag
• Ammo Type: Lengthened
• Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
• Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
• Kit: Momentum

The first attachment is the Mercury Silencer which confers superior sound suppression and improved recoil control. Next, for the Underbarrel attachment, you'll want to go with the M1930 Strife Angled to facilitate improvements to firing accuracy, aiming stability and aim walking steadiness.

Next, we've gone with the .45 ACP 20 Rnd Fast Mag. This attachment is a smaller magazine that is faster to reload, chambered with larger calibre bullets that will confer improvements to bullet velocity and range, damage, and bullet penetration.

If you haven't unlocked this yet, then you can attach the 9mm Para 50 Round Drums instead for improved ADS speed. Definitely pair either Magazine attachment choices with the Lengthened ammo type to improve bullet velocity even further.

Followingly, attach the Stippled Grip to make it easier to centre the gun after firing by improving recoil recovery and initial accuracy and recoil after firing. We've gone with the Hockenson S32S Foregrip for improved horizontal recoil control and ADS speed for the Stock attachment.

And then, finally, you'll want to go with the Sleight of Hand Proficiency for better reload quickness and Momentum to receive stacking movement speed buffs after kills.

Sten Perks for COD Vanguard

You can pair the Sten with the Ratt handgun as a secondary weapon, in addition to the following Perks:

• Perk 1: Fortified
• Perk 2: Radar
• Perk 3: Scavenger
