Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Vanguard will take players back to the battlefields of WWII for an epic campaign, witnessing the origins of Special Forces into a harrowing storyline, with a seamless experience in a photorealistic world.
Call of Duty: Vanguard - Campaign details
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s campaign will follow the story of four soldiers who have diverse origins, but one thing in common: they are elite fighters who have the ability to change the pace of war.
Thus, the game’s main campaign will cover the four major theaters of war, in which you will see the battle from the eyes of these multinational heroes who formed Task Force One, the prototype that led to the birth of the Special Forces.
While these are great soldiers, Sledgehammer Games didn’t forget their human side by showing the desperation and chaos of war, being captured by the Axis powers, and each rising from the trenches to become one of the original Operatives, in a conflict they never wished to be part of.
Call of Duty: Vanguard - Multiplayer and Zombies modes
While the Call of Duty: Vanguard campaign promises, the reality is that what many love about Call of Duty is its multiplayer, with several modes for you to play with your squad.
For this installment, Sledgehammer has confirmed the inclusion of 20 multiplayer maps at its launch, scenarios that will have a lot of variety as these are inspired by the different fronts of World War II, and with a lot of post-launch content to be released.
Vanguard’s gameplay promises to have the characteristic style of the franchise, but renewed with reactive game environments and different combat rhythms that will give it a tactical twist.
The game will also offer the first crossover of the Zombies mode within the saga, connecting with the Dark Aether story started in Black Ops Cold War to create deeply engaging lore, all while innovating on the core gameplay the mode is famous for, thanks to a partnership with Treyarch.
