Fans of Call of Duty's Ranked play are slightly disappointed at the recent news from Treyarch, stating that the Modern Warfare 2 CDL Moshpit Playlist will be delayed due to some bugs picked up by the dev team. This leaves many questions in the air as to when it will release and what issues caused its delay.
If you were wondering why it hadn't been released alongside Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2, then we have you covered. Below we will be taking an in-depth look at the reported issues causing the Modern Warfare 2 CLD Moshpit Playist's delay and what information we have on when it will be released for players to enjoy.
December 1 - We've checked for updates and news from Infinity Ward regarding the Ranked playlist.
As per Infinity Ward's Trello account, we have a small, if somewhat unhelpful, update from the team:
"Update: We remain hard at work on the issues that have prevented CDL Moshpit from going live."
Modern Warfare 2 CDL Moshpit Playlist Delayed - But When Will It Release?
The news of Modern Warfare 2's CDL Moshpit Playlist being delayed came from a recent Tweet from the developers at Treyarch, and at the time of writing no concrete date has been given as to its release. They stated in the Tweet that “Addressing these issues [is] our current top priority, and we’ll update you on the timing ASAP.”
Update: CDL Moshpit was initially expected to release today at the start of Season 01 multiplayer, but recently discovered issues with the mode will require a slight delay.— Treyarch Studios (@Treyarch) November 16, 2022
Addressing these issues are our current top priority, and we'll update you on the timing ASAP.
The CDL Moshpit was expected to release alongside the start of Season 1's multiplayer and was meant to be a precursor to the Ranked Play which is releasing in 2023, and is the mode that most players are used to. But due to some issues, the release of the CDL Moshpit needed to be delayed, as stated by Treyarch in the same Tweet “CDL Moshpit was initially expected to release today at the start of Season 01 multiplayer, but recently discovered issues with the mode will require a slight delay.”
It added: “We’ll be tracking discussions about competitive multiplayer modes in collaboration with Infinity Ward on their Modern Warfare 2 Trello page. So check it often and stay tuned for news and updates.”
All three of the Call of Duty League's official game modes—Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Control—will use the CDL Moshpit playlist's standard guidelines, limitations, and map rotation. So there's a reason to stay tuned for more news surrounding the CDL Moshpit Playlist as it will be bringing some exciting features.
When Ranked Play launches in 2023, it will provide competitive modes, ranked skill divisions, visible skill ratings, a top 250 leaderboard, and rewards for top players. Meaning that the CDL Moshpit Playlist will serve as a link between the regular multiplayer game and Ranked Play once it releases.
But for now, that is all we know regarding the CDL Moshpit Playlist's delay and when we can expect it to be released. Be sure to check back here soon as Treyarch updates us on when the CDL Moshpit Playlist will be available.
