With the hopes of racking up enough CDL Points to make it to the Call of Duty League Championships 2024 this July, 12 teams fought it out in the Toronto Major III this past weekend. The Major II saw Atlanta FaZe walk away with first prize, and they were back to defend their top spot.
However, it was OpTic Texas that took the crown this time, placing first after a sweeping victory 4-0 against host team Toronto Ultra. With first place secured, OpTic walked away with their $150,000 share of the $375,000 prize pool, and 100 CDL Points to add to their tally.
Carrying the banner for OpTic during the tournament were Shotzzy, Dashy, Kenny and Pred, with Shotzzy awarded the tournament’s MVP award. The Major III took place with the following format:
- Double Elimination
- Best of 5 Series
- Best of 7 Series in Grand Finals
