Call of Duty: Warzone, the successful free-to-play Battle Royale released this past March, has seen the rise of overtuned weapons since the integration with Black Ops Cold War started, with guns such as the DMR 14 being described as "broken" by a huge portion of the community.
The incredible fire rate, precision, and range of the DMR are simply too good, and Raven Software has taken notice, confirming a nerf to the semi-automatic tactical rifle is on the way.
Don't fret! We've heard you and a balance update is coming soon to address concerns about the DMR 14, Type 63, Mac 10, and dual pistols. âš–ï¸â²ï¸— Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) January 5, 2021
"Don't fret! We've heard you and a balance update is coming soon to address concerns about the DMR 14, Type 63, Mac 10, and dual pistols."
As you can see, the DMR will not be the only affected gun with the upcoming balance changes, as the Mac 10, dual pistols, and Type 63 will also be nerfed.
The Battle Royale has been plagued by loadouts utilizing the DMR with any of the other mentioned guns, and it's clear Raven Software isn't messing around, tackling all the most commonly used weapons at the same time.
Famous content creators like NICKMERCS have actually spoken about how the DMR 14 is a "problem" in Warzone.
"It took over the entire meta of Warzone. We kind of thought this would happen after first putting our hands on it."
As of right now, there's no set date in which we can expect the balance changes to drop.
