Escape from Tarkov grenades can often be confusing, with Battlestate Games implementing several variants with little context as to how they should be optimized.
All Escape from Tarkov Grenades
Escape from Tarkov provides a plethora of different grenades, with players often being incredibly confused between the differences and uses they each obtain.
Here’s a table to display the grenade cost, and explosion delay:
| GRENADE NAME | COST (₽) | EXPLOSION DELAY |
| F-1 | 9,156 | 3.5 Seconds |
| M67 | Barter – 2x Zibbo Lighters | 5 Seconds |
| RGD-5 | 11,822 | 3.5 Seconds |
| RGN (impact) | Lootable Only | 0.3 Seconds on Impact |
| RGO (impact) | Lootable Only | 0.3 Seconds on Impact |
| VOG-17 | 25,000 | 3 Seconds |
| VOG-25 | 26,999 | 2 Seconds |
Each grenade has a completely different feel and has individual characteristics that players must understand. Unfortunately, grenades are the most accidental way of self-inflicted death in Escape from Tarkov simply because players are unaware of how to use the different grenades
What Are The Best EFT Grenades
Each grenade has its specific usage for unique combat interactions, for example, it’s vital players don’t use M67 grenades for impact grenade-oriented jobs.
Here’s a table explaining the expected usage of each grenade:
| GRENADE NAME | Usage |
| F-1 | General clearing, killing, and intimidation, are suitable in most cases. |
| M67 | Incredibly lightweight grenade, used for throwing very long distances. |
| RGD-5 | General clearing, killing, and intimidation, are suitable in most cases. |
| RGN (impact) | Close-quarters room clearing, killing scav bosses |
| RGO (impact) | Close-quarters room clearing, killing scav bosses. |
| VOG-17 | Close-quarters combat, room clearing, and intimidation |
| VOG-25 | Close-quarters combat, room clearing. Will explode rapidly, stay clear. |
Both the RGN and RGO impact grenades will explode on impact when hitting glass. Many players attempt to breach rooms by throwing impact grenades through a window, only for the grenade to immediately explode in their faces.
The M67 Grenade is only useful on larger maps; Lighthouse, Reserve, and Shoreline are all M67-compatible maps. Close-quarter maps render this grenade useless due to the long explosion delay and incredibly far reach the grenade has after throwing.
