How To Complete "Grenadier" Task In Escape From Tarkov

Escape from Tarkov offers a plethora of challenging tasks and questlines. One such challenge is the Grenadier task given by Prapor early in the Escape from Tarkov Wipe. Fortunately, with the introduction of Patch 13.5, Battlestate Games has modified the task to be slightly more manageable.

In the past, players needed to eliminate twelve PMC operatives using grenades in Escape from Tarkov. Now, the Grenadier task mandates only eight PMC grenade kills, significantly reducing the time spent on this assignment!

Escape from Tarkov: Grenadier Guide 

Grenadier is quite a difficult task. This is because of the grenade mechanics in Escape from Tarkov and how the player base has adapted to enemies using them. Usually, whenever a player pulls the pin and primes a grenade, enemy players can hear and adjust to the situation, choosing to either rush or change location, putting the grenade thrower off.

Over time, this task has become increasingly more difficult. However, with the release of newer grenades that have a quicker explosion delay, the task is somewhat easier to complete. To complete the task quickly, head into Factory and use these grenades:

• RGN Hand grenade (impact grenade)
• RGO Hand grenade (impact grenade)
• VOG-25 Khattabka (2s explosion delay)
• VOG-17 Khattabka (3s explosion delay)

The reason we use these grenades is that they give enemies minimal time to react. Once the pin is pulled, they explode almost instantly. While VOG grenades provide a brief moment, they still don't allow much reaction time from the enemy, making them slightly more effective. Impact grenades, although a bit overpriced, are excellent for the job.

When thrown accurately, they leave enemies with almost no escape opportunity. We opt for Factory to complete this task because it allows us to cycle through raids rapidly, thus reducing the time spent on the task. Furthermore, the compact map design forces players into close quarters, leaving them little room to escape the blast radius!
