World of Warcraft Dragonflight will bring many new updates and changes to the game including a huge revamp for class talents.
World of Warcraft Dragonflight - Talent Changes and Updates

World of Warcraft Dragonflight has been announced along with the various updates to come with the expansion. Azeroth is beginning to flourish once again with the return of the dragons. The new WoW expansion doesn’t have an official launch date, but chances are that it will be late-2022 or early 2023.

Dragonflight will be WoW’s ninth expansion and promises to give the necessary changes to keep players immersed and engaged. Two ways to keep players involved are the changes to Talents and professions.

WoW Dragonflight Talent Changes

There is a huge overhaul coming to the Talents in WoW and it’s getting players hyped about the possibilities. The first major change to the Talents is the user interface which is drastically adjusted to showcase the new Talent Trees.

Each class has a tree for their class utilization and trees for Damage, Healing, or Tanking specialization. This means that players will have to be mindful of how the Talents on both trees interact with each other.

Talent Trees are a returning feature from older games, but the tree construction and having two Talent Trees are new additions. Talents were starting to be more locked in, only giving players a limited breadth of options, but the new trees open more possibilities.

These new Talent Trees will allow players to customize their characters to fit more into their gameplay. It allows for more spell and ability combinations that weren’t possible in the game before. These updates to the Talent Trees will not affect the roles of each class, so players won’t feel like they have to relearn their class.

At max level, players will have a total of 61 points to put into their Talent Trees with 31 for the class tree and 30 for the specialization tree. Some of these Talents will have different ranks and require more than 1 Talent point.

Players will still be able to change Talents as quickly as they can now. Blizzard wants players to maintain fluidity and freedom with their Talent specializations. If you create a Talent Tree that works well for you, then you can save it as a preset to return to it at any time.

The overhaul on Talents is long-awaited and one of the most anticipated announcements with Dragonflight.

WoW Dragonflight Profession Changes

Another big overhaul for WoW will be on the professions. Professions usually just get an increase in levels and more items to create, but Dragonflight will bring more changes to get players excited about crafting again.

The new feature of Crafting Orders will be added that expands how professions can be used. It essentially creates a marketplace like the Auction House where players can ask for help with items they need to be crafted.

Although there were already professional specializations, the specializations will be receiving some big changes. Players will find different ways to improve their specializations whether it's by reading a book they’ve discovered or finding a hermit blacksmith to teach the skill.

Players will also be able to craft items with different levels of quality. The level of quality will affect the benefits of the crafted item. That just about covers everything you need to know on the Dragonflight Talent Changes and Updates.
