WoW Variety Show - Join, Watch, Activities And Rewards

While World of Warcraft (WoW) fans eagerly await the release of Wrath of the Lich King Classic and the Dragonflight expansion, there's always room for some new events, right? Enter the WoW Variety Show, a new three-event live broadcast!

This article explains how you can stand a chance of joining the WoW Variety Show, the activities contestants can experience, and the rewards to acquire.

WoW Variety Show Dates, Times & How To Watch

The first ever WoW Variety Show will take place on 24th August 2022. Anyone can join the dedicated Discord channel for the show, and the developers urge fans to join it before the show gets underway.

• World of Warcraft Dragonflight - Dragonriding Gameplay, Skills, and Unlocks
• All new zones in WoW Dragonflight Dragon Isles
• Late WoW star Reckful's Youtube channel hacked to promote scam

The exact start time for the stream on Twitch is 17:00 PT (20:00 ET).

The event will feature "renowned Warcraft Celebrity Contestants," and, likely, these contestants will also stream the show on Twitch. At the time of writing, the contestants have not been revealed.

While some might be fine with just watching the WoW Variety Show, others will want to join in on the action.

How To Join WoW Variety Show

The first Variety Show is limited to players from North America. Sign-ups are open now until 15th August at 11:00 PT.

Four registered players will join four Celebrity Captains to join each of their teams. Not many spots are available, so for a chance at joining the WoW Variety Show, you should sign up right away by heading to this link.

WoW Variety Show Activities & Rewards

Participants will take part in three WoW Variety Show Activities. Check out the three activities as explained by Blizzard below.

Leveling:

"We’ve seen what some of our favorite friendly faces can do at max level, but now we’re taking them back to where it all began. Hosted on live servers, four Warcraft Celebrity Contestants will have exactly one hour to level a fresh character as high as possible, with a series of additional tasks and challenges to face along the way!"

Scavenger Hunt:

"From lore to unsolved mysteries, the Warcraft universe is filled with all sorts of hidden items. Faced with riddles, puzzles, and plenty of things to find, teams of five will need to work together, making the most of their time as they scour the zones and complete as many scavenger tasks as possible!"

Footrace Through Azeroth:

"The final activity comes down to a test of speed and strategy, as players will fight without flight on a footrace through Azeroth!"

It is important to note that the Footrace Through Azeroth will be open to more participants and that you can use ground mounts.

Blizzard did not reveal the exact rewards for the WoW Variety show. They did, however, note that they would be giving away a variety of in-game goodies. This includes mounts, pets, game time, and "some special surprises".

Since this is the first WoW Variety Show, the developers plan on first checking how the event does before planning any further ones.
