Even in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, the MP40 is one of the top dogs when it comes to effectiveness and ratings in the Call of Duty battle royale. Since the release of Vanguard, the iconic submachine gun has been one of the most used weapons every season.
After the most recent round of weapon tuning in Season 4 Reloaded, the MP40 has even less competition to deal with. These days, the SMG can easily destroy nearly every other weapon in the same class when in close quarters. At medium range, it’s still a beast and can be used for sniper support. This guide will outline exactly what you need to make the most of the SMG.
Warzone Season 4 Reloaded – Best MP40 loadout
For this loadout, we will focus on the close-quarters version of the MP40 rather than the mid-range sniper support variant. Both are viable options, but the close quarters build is more effective in what it’s built for. Even still, the faster variant can still win in mid-range battles.

To maximize the close-range potential, the focus is shifted towards body damage and fire rate on the weapon. Mobility is another key aspect, and most of the attachments will revolve around all three factors. Below are all 10 attachments you’ll need for the best MP40 loadout.
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: VDD 189mm Short
- Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Stock: Krausnick 33m Folding
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Perk 1: Momentum
- Perk 2: Quick
As a close-range loadout, this MP40 build uses the Recoil Booster muzzle rather than something like an MX Silencer. The silencers are usually the better option for nearly any weapon in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, but in niche cases, there are exceptions. The Recoil Booster is simply going to increase the fire rate of the SMG, which is a huge plus.
Another niche option in this build is the VDD 189mm Short barrel. This has great benefits like range, bullet velocity, and damage per shot. In return for those bonuses, the weapon will lose a headshot multiplier. Having a Recoil Booster is integral for that reason.
Many of the additional attachments for the close-quarters MP40 are based on mobility and speed. Both the Mark VI Skeletal underbarrel and the Taped Grip rear grip will provide ADS speed, sprint-to-fire, and handling. Adding the Krausnick 33m Folding furthers the mobility of this loadout.
The ammunition for the MP40 is the last integral piece of the build. First, you’ll need the 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags. Along with the Lengthened ammo, there is a ton of added velocity, control, and even more fire rate. Subsonic ammo can be swapped in, but it’s not required.
