Escape from Tarkov developers, Battlestate Games, have finally risked it all by allowing players to build a weapons rack within the hideout in Patch 13.5. The reason why this confuses most players is that Battlestate Games offer separate editions of Escape from Tarkov, and the main selling point is the Gamma container and increased stash space.
Adding tools for players to essentially “play to win” is excellent. For years, players with the standard edition of Escape from Tarkov have been suffering with minimal stash space, barely surviving wipes with an abundance of weapon and item containers, in addition to boosting their stash size by very minimal amounts in the hideout for a lot of roubles.
The weapon rack works as imagined: you build a wall within the hideout and put weapons onto it. Essentially, you extract weapons from your stash (freeing space) and put them in your hideout. The weapon rack acts as a weapon container for players, except it’s only accessible through the hideout. The weapon rack is located near the shooting range on the left side of the hideout, just in front of the lavatory and workbench.
Escape from Tarkov: Hideout Weapon Rack
Unfortunately, but expectedly, players will have to endure quite an extensive process to unlock the weapon rack within the hideout. The reason is that Battlestate Games will want you to earn this, especially because it has incredible benefits, as we’re sure you know!
To unlock the Weapon Rack, you’re required to:
- 5 Pack of nails
- 5 Energy-saving lamp
- 5 Insulating tape
- 1 Hand drill
- 15 Bolts
- 1 Metal cutting scissors
- 3 Xenomorph sealing foam
- Mechanic LL2
- Level 2 Stash
- Level 3 Illumination
The weapon rack will take twelve hours to construct.
The main features here are Level 3 Illumination and Level 2 stash. This is because you have to upgrade other features of the hideout even to have the ability to level illumination up to Level 3. Therefore, to unlock the weapon rack within Escape from Tarkov,, you will have to spend upwards of one-million roubles on the hideout before it’s possible. Additionally, you’re going to need a loyalty Level 2 Mechanic, meaning players will have to be a minimum of level twenty before they can proceed with constructing the weapon rack.
