The anticipation for World of Warcraft The War Within is growing. Although we have another Season of Dragonflight to get through before we can get into The War Within, the announcements for this expansion have fans excited. The new content from The War Within will change how people play WoW.
For example, the new Hero Talents will allow players to further customize thier characters in multiple ways. On top of that, new endgame content will be added to WoW as well. Here, we are going to talk about Delves and how exactly they will work in The World Within.
What Are Delves In WoW The War Within?
Delves are expected to be the entry point to the endgame content in WoW The War Within. These are essentially smaller dungeons that can be found in the open world. Players will walk up to the Delve and it will begin. Delves can be tackled by one to five players and won’t be as restrictive as Dungeons.
For example, there are no restrictions on class. Any group of players can go in together if they choose to do so. Also, solo players can team up with NPCs to make the Delve easier for themselves, similar to how the Duty Support works in Final Fantasy XIV. Delves may also not always have a final boss, having a final puzzle for players to solve instead. They are unique experiences that are quite different from Dungeons but should be easily digestible for players.
What To Expect From Delves In WoW The War Within
To being, there are going to be 12 different Delves for players to check out. Each Delve will of course be different and offer their own unique challenges. More are expected to be added in future updates for the game. Delves are also great content for players to prepare for other endgame content like raids and dungeons.
Delves will always have treasure at the end for players to loot, the value of which or how to get the treasure is a mystery at the moment. Since some of the Delves won’t have a final boss, it could be that there are some treasure chests that players can loot. At the very least, players can expect to be rewarded for their trip to the delves.
