The new map boast variety of interesting locations clearly designed based on almost two years of experience the development team has gathered, as we now have much more distinctive and uniquely designed areas compared to Verdansk which was more uniform in its design.
And while this diversity will allow players of various playstyles to shine, one of the weapon classes you almost always want to have with you, either as primary or secondary, is an SMG. A good SMG will keep you alive and save you from any potential unwanted surprises, and in Warzone Pacific Season 1 the OTs 9 remains one of the best guns you can equip.
If you are looking for the best meta OTs 9 loadout on Caldera, check out this class setup.
Best OTs 9 loadout for Caldera

- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 8.1” Task Force
- Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
- Ammunition: VDV 40 Rnd Fast Mag
- Rear grip: Serpent Wrap
Not much to say about the GRU Suppressor, it is practically an unavoidable attachment for any good build for Cold War weapons, as it makes you invisible on the mini-map, and it makes the weapon easier to handle with reduced vertical recoil.
The Task Force is here to boost the weapon's overall power with a bonus on damage, damage range, and bullet velocity. It will allow you to safely engage from mid-range while bolstering your damage from all ranges, and thus your TTK.
The KGB Skeletal Stock will be a meta attachment on Caldera going forward, with bonuses to sprint-to-fire time and ADS walking movement, as the map requires you to be more mobile and your reactions more explosive.
The ADS speed bonus which comes with the Serpent Wrap is rather significant, which will always come in handy, especially if you are using the OTs 9 as a secondary. Finally, we op for the VDV 40 Rnd Fast Mag, which will provide you with the maximum ammo capacity and make you reload in a flash.
Best Perks and equipment for OTs 9
in Warzone Pacific

- Perk 1: E.O.D.
- Perk 2: Overkill
- Perk 3: Amped
- Secondary: Swiss K31
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor
The E.O.D. perk is simply an all-around safe option, as you can often be caught off guard by explosives that will decimate your Health, and this will give you some level of protection.
Go with the Overkill perk if you are planning on rocking two primary weapons (we suggest the Swiss K31), otherwise, you might pick something else. The same goes with Amped, which is essential for double-primary builds, but if you don't want to go that route, feel free to select something that suits your needs better.
Finally, the Semtex + Heartbeat Sensor will help clear areas like the Village huts and various objects in the Capital and the Resort, without the risk of being ambushed by campers.
