Activision is giving PlayStation 4 owners a chance to play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War before its release later this year.
The Black Ops Cold War Alpha, available to pre-install now from the PS Store, will let players try out a number of maps and multiplayer modes before its official release on 13th November.
But when does the action kick off? And what exactly is in included? Here’s a rundown of what you need to know.

The Black Ops Cold War Alpha runs from Friday 18th September to Sunday 20th November at 10am PDT/6pm BST.

What’s included in the Black Ops Cold War Alpha?
The Alpha features three game modes across conventional multiplayer, with three maps also available for 6v6 teams.
The modes are Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed, where you have to pick up dog tags from killed players to register the kill.
Domination is also included, where players have to attack and defend certain capture zones across the map.

New mode for Black Ops Cold War, Combined Arms: Domination, is also included. In this mode, 12v12 teams wage war on larger maps filled with vehicles like tanks and gunboats, while trying to complete the typical Domination objective.

You’ll also be able to check out limited versions of loadouts, scorestreaks, Gunsmith and Create-a-Class.
