Herschel "DrDisrespect" Beahm and his Champion's Club following is no stranger to Call of Duty. The streamer players Warzone and more each week, showing off his skills. Now, a recent rumour has been spurred on by an Instagram post, suggesting DrDisrespect might buy a Call of Duty League (CDL) team.
DrDisrespect CDL team: The response
Recently, we reported on Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez reclaiming ownership of OpTic Gaming, and on Instagram, Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag has teased 100 Thieves in CDL for the 2021 season.
Nadeshot then followed up with an image of himself, H3CZ and DrDisrespect on Instagram, with the caption reading "Mount Rushmore".
This has sparked rumours and discussion from fans how DrDisrespect could very well plan to buy his own CDL team.
While nothing is set in stone, and this could all just be a tease by Nadeshot, DrDisrespect has responded.
In a recent stream where DrDisrespect was playing Warzone, a fan asked "Doc, do you ever plan to have your own professional team?"
DrDisrespect paused, and then responded, pausing every few words and laughing at himself: "Will I have my own...Probably not. Will I be a part...as a...shareholder? [Laughts] You never know…"
This is by no means a confirmation DrDisrespect will be part-owner or owner of a CDL team going forward. The famous streamer does love to tease fans, however, and we shouldn't write off DrDisrespect CDL team just yet.
In a video from Esports Talk below, the YouTube channel discusses the possibility of DrDisrespect or Nadeshot purchasing H3CZ's CDL spot.
