A gun that’s stood the test of time, the Grau 5.56 first dropped back in Season 2, and it’s possibly better than ever with NICKMERCS’ latest setup. The weapon has achieved great popularity over time, but even NICKMERCS thought that the Grau was old news until recently.
“I gave this thing a lot of hate before I used it man…” NICKMERCS announced at the start of his new video on the Grau 5.56. “Lowkey, I was bullsh*tting. That’s my bad, I apologise.”
Thanks to its incredible rate of fire and virtually no recoil, the Grau 5.56 works wonders in Warzone even today and is still a contender for one of the game’s best guns.
NICKMERCS "no recoil" Grau 5.56 Loadout

According to NICKMERCS, this is the ultimate “no recoil” loadout for the Grau 5.56.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Tempus 26.4” Archangel
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
It’s the combined force of the Monolithic Suppressor and Tempus Archangel Barrel that make this build so good for the Grau. Both eliminate the change for sway when aiming down sight, and they mesh well with the Ranger Foregrip.
This grip helps substantially decrease recoil on the weapon, meaning that you can fire faster with less risk to your aim. The class sacrifices mobility somewhat, but it’s a powerful long-range weapon and should be treated as such.
Grabbing the weapon in a loadout in-game, NICKMERCS racks up an impressive 26 kill Warzone victory with his team. We know that the streamer is an incredible player in his own right, but it’s clear that the Grau 5.56 still has a place in the meta, especially with a “no recoil” build to hand.
