Currently, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is being dominated by a certain few weapons. Like every year, the assault rifle and submachine gun category feature these dominating guns. The likes of the AK74u, XM4, MP5, and Krig-6 are among the elite in Black Ops Cold War. However, according to one Call of Duty League professional, there's one weapon that should be included on that list.

Sam "Octane" Larew of the Seattle Surge recently uploaded a YouTube video of the weapon he believes has "ruined" Black Ops Cold War. That weapon is the Type 63, and it can be truly lethal with Octane's loadout he outlines in the video.

The Type 63 is featured in the tactical rifle category. It's a semi-automatic weapon and generally, these types of guns don't receive mass attention in Call of Duty. Although, this is a different case, as the Type 63 can absolutely shred enemies.

Octane, who is considered one of the best AR players in the CDL, has raved about the Type 63's performance in Black Ops Cold War. He believes it's one of the best guns in the game and that you don't even need a specific loadout for it to be viable.

However, we're still going to give you the loadout Octane was using to rip through opponents.

  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Barrel: 16.4" Rapid Fire
  • Underbarrel: Front Grip
  • Magazine: 30 Round
  • Handle: Task Force Rear Grip

The most important part of the loadout, in Octane's eyes, is the Axial Arms 3x scope and the 16.4" Rapid Fire barrel. the 3x scope allows you to basically treat the Type 63 like a sniper rifle. However, with the Rapid Fire barrel, you'll be mowing enemies down faster than you ever would with a regular sniper.

The rest of the loadout is really the dealer's choice according to Octane.
